Dinner with new friends in Buenos Aires

We learned of the closed door restaurant movement and Casa SaltShaker from a few friends and guidebooks. We were able to make reservations on the internet. For a reasonable price, Dan Perlman from N.Y. and his Peruvian partner, Henry Tapia, invite a group into their home, a moderate sized, one bedroom duplex with a garden in Recoleta, for an excellent dinner and the random but fun mix of nine others. On the night we went, there were two guests from Madrid, three locals celebrating a birthday, a woman from Toronto, a couple from the Washington State and us.We enjoyed the new company and animated chatter in English and a bit of Spanish. It was a beautiful travel experience of camaraderie and great food. http://www.casasaltshaker.com/indexen.htm
